The Inn At Death Valley is known for its classic property with impressive grounds and landscaping, including a nice pool area fed by hot spring water. Many guests appreciate the spacious and comfortable casitas, some even coming with a golf cart for easy access around the area. You'll find several key sights and the Furnace Creek Visitor Center conveniently nearby, as well as a stargazer deck perfect for evening views; however, some guests have noted limited vegetarian and gluten-free food options. the location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. the grounds were beautiful , with a pleasant environment for relaxation. the pool was large enough for swimming laps and had comfortable loungers.
the receptionist seemed uninterested and provided minimal information. our casita wasn't cleaned by 8:00 pm and we had to request clean towels. i found this unusual since i had to mention it upon arrival.

the pool was nice... it did its job.
my room's air conditioning unit sounded like a jet engine. i was also surprised the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, especially considering the cost. a minor thing, but still.

mixed experience at the inn

well cared for groundsrun-down roomlight pollution
the grounds were lovely and well cared for.
the basic room felt run-down and small. it lacked a fridge, which i found inconvenient. the hotel's lighting bothered me, especially since it's in a dark sky park, and there was light pollution. palm trees are not native to the area (i learned), so their presence seemed out of place.

adequate stay BUT needs improvement

dirty flooruncleaned bathroom
The cleanliness was AWFUL. Our room had crumbs on the carpet and hair EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. The floor clearly had not been cleaned properly in ages. We reported it, and someone vacuumed, but the bathroom remained untouched. i expect much better.

The pool area was excellent. It had amazing water temperature coming from natural springs. The hotel's main bar has a great selection of drinks including tap beer. We could have a great stargazing experience on the top floor at night.
I was not expecting a few issues for the high nightly rate. The tennis courts were closed for resurfacing! and the hotel seemed to be short-staffed . There was also no effort to proactively remedy these issues.
